The Mercantile Head Coach will drive and facilitate the development of performance Rowers at Mercantile Rowing Club as part the Rowing Australia Pathway Program, assisting the achievement of Rowing Australia’s high-performance ambitions at World Championships and Olympics Games.
• This is a full-time position, offering a competitive remuneration package based on the successful candidates
experience and demonstrated competency.
• This is an identified position requiring a current Working with Children Check.
• The role will commence in April/May 2025 or by mutual agreement
• This role will work to incorporate the Rowing Australia Pathway Program with the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS).
• The individual will be an exceptional coach with deep knowledge and understanding of the technical, tactical and physical requirements for success in High Performance
• A proven ability in building and maintaining a thriving performance rowing environment and culture.
• Understand the needs of high-performance athletes and coaches.
• Potential to coach National underage teams and other overseas tours
The Head Coach will lead a team of paid and volunteer coaches.
