This folding / stowaway bike from Raleigh is a great choice for city dwellers, commuters and mums and dads chasing rowing boats come rain or shine. At 14.5kg, it’s nippy around town and though muddy puddles along canal and river pathways, thanks to those small 20in wheels which are quick to get up to speed and sturdy enough that you don't end up sliding into a hedge. The seven-speed gears, operated by a grip shifter, will see you up all but the steepest hills and those great little breaks help you stop before your hit the lamp post you didn't see whilst filming!  Commuters will be pleased to see it folds down small enough to bring on the train and rowers parents glad it folds away with all the other rowing gubbins in the boot of a small car. Comes with a pannier rack and mudguards, perfect for bags of food for the hungry rowers and a tow rope and a spare dry clothes for when your friend (AKA another rowing parent) ends up in the river because you were chatting instead of watching the rowers! This is a lovely little bike well cared for, a few little wear a tear scratches, that I am sadly swapping in for a quick run, cosy fire place and a book as my child goes of to uni and the coach is now left chasing them in the rain!! :)
