Up for sale is Kevin, our 2015 90kg Empacher R86 8+. The boat splits between 5 and 6 seat. It was specially built for Tideway conditions, and has 3cm extra freeboard compared to the standard R86 shape (see photos) - ideal for clubs on rougher waters, but perfectly suitable for fairweather rowing too. Selling to clear rack space in our boathouse to make way for a new 8+.

The shell has a storied history, and has been racked inside and well maintained throughout its life. The hull is in very good condition aside with the exception of one small nick above the waterline near the bow (see photos).

The boat was first used in the 2015-16 season, featuring in the 2017 (lost) and 2018 Boat Races (won). It was then used by our reserve crew Goldie for the 2019 and 2020 reserve boat races, both of which it won. Since then, it has seen semi-regular use as a third eight and for development squads.
