We have a number of exciting coaching opportunities available across Junior, Senior and Masters Squads, at Broxbourne Rowing Club,
from lead to assistant roles. Whether you are looking for a paid role or would like to step into a voluntary position, we would love to hear from you.
We are launching a new, bespoke pathway programme
designed to enhance progression from learn to row right through to racing, and
we are seeking enthusiastic individuals to help deliver and shape this
initiative.
We have introduced a funded coach development programme that includes mentoring from highly experienced coaches, including ex-GB rowers and British
Rowing Coaches, as well as formal BR courses.
This is a fantastic
opportunity for someone with passion who can lead and inspire our development
rowers to become our competitors of the future.
Situated on the scenic River Lea, our club is committed to
fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for rowers of all levels.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead
and/or deliver engaging water and land-based coaching sessions across
weekends and weekday evenings.
- Develop
or deliver tailored training programmes for junior and adult rowers, with
a focus on progression and enjoyment.
- Support
the recruitment and retention of rowers through learn to row programmes
- Monitor
athlete development and provide feedback to support individual goals.
🔹 What We’re Looking For:
Lead
Coaches
Assistant
Coaches
Proven
coaching experience either as assistant or lead coach
Coaching
experience within a similar club
British
Rowing coaching qualifications at Level 2 or above
or Assistant
Coach qualification and commitment to undertake Club Coach qualification (formerly
Level 2)
British
Rowing assistant coaching qualification or commitment to undertake this
Excellent
communication and leadership skills.
A commitment
to inclusivity and athlete wellbeing.
Ability to
work flexibly across weekends and evenings.
