Are you a rowing coach who loves the spark of introducing adults to the sport and shaping their long-term technical foundation?
Lea Rowing Club - one of the UK's largest rowing clubs and 2022 British Rowing Club of the Year - is introducing a brand new, professionally led Beginner Pathway for the upcoming 2026/27 season. We are looking for a full-time Lead Coach to own, shape, and deliver this program.
Our adult "Learn to Row" initiative is one of the largest in the country, welcoming around 300 newcomers annually. As Lead Coach, you will own the crucial first two years of their competitive journey, instilling the habits, technique, and love for the sport that build lifelong athletes.
🌊 The Role:
You will be responsible for the technical development of early-years athletes, lead a dedicated team of volunteer coaches, and have a unique opportunity to help design and refine this new pathway from the ground up.
⏱️ Type: Full-Time (1-year fixed term, with potential to extend)
💰 Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
📍 Location: East London (Spring Hill & Royal Docks)
