Canford is a very
successful co-educational boarding and day school with 640 pupils aged 13 - 18,
of whom about a third are day pupils. It
has one of the most beautiful settings of any school in the country, and is a
very enjoyable and exciting atmosphere in which to work. The pastoral side of the school is very
strong, and applicants will be willing to play a part in the extra-curricular
life of the school.
We wish to
appoint for September 2017 an enthusiastic and committed graduate to coach
sport, help in boarding houses, to assist with the weekend activities programme
and to assist in an academic department appropriate to the strengths of the
graduate. This position is fixed term
for one year.
A university graduate (or embarked on course of
studies leading to a university degree), we are particularly seeking applicants
who have the ability to coach rowing, along with the willingness to help in

who might be considering a teaching career to experience life in a boarding
